Meet our Clinicians!

Kori Holland

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider as well as a Licensed School Counselor in Tennessee. I earned my Master’s in School Counseling at Lee University in 2010 before moving to the Knoxville/Maryville area.  I take a whole-person wellness approach to therapy with my clients. I believe that incorporating body, mind, and soul is imperative to emotional well-being. I am passionate about helping others develop deeper self-awareness and live full, healthy, meaningful lives.

I utilize evidence-based interventions and comprehensive care planning with all of my clients. Additionally, I hold a 200-hour certification as a yoga instructor, which supports my ability to assist clients with embodied symptoms of stress, anxiety, and PTSD. My counseling technique includes an eclectic collection of strategies from ACT, CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness practices to best suit the needs of each client that I serve.  I am always obtaining new counseling skills through additional training to better support my clients.

In addition to supporting clients who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, I enjoy working with clients as they explore family system issues, stress, major life transitions, marriage, divorce, and parenting. I am also experienced in academic and career planning for those interested in pursuing new opportunities.

By nature, I am a calm and peaceful person. I aim to create a stress-free and welcoming environment so that my clients feel at ease sharing their hearts, desires, and struggles. I believe in being supportive and encouraging throughout the counseling process. I strive to foster a relationship of mutual respect with each of my clients.

I began my career as a high school counselor at Fulton High School in Knoxville, TN, and then continued my experience as a high school counselor at Maryville High School.  Through those experiences I gained exposure to a variety of different people, cultures, and life experiences. This developed my passion to pursue professional licensure so that I can offer that same support in an ongoing therapeutic setting. After 15 years in school counseling, I am following my passion by continuing my work as a professional counselor.  I love working with individuals, groups, and families as they pursue greater emotional health and interpersonal connectedness.

I love being a mom, friend, and enjoying the peace of the outdoors.  In my free time I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, taking walks, exercising, paddle boarding, and spending time with my family.
