Rachel graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (GO VOLS!) with a Master's in Counseling in 2006. For the last two decades, she has served as a high school counselor. A few years ago, Rachel decided she was ready to pursue a new career path and work with clients outside the educational setting. She is currently completing licensure for LPC-MHSP in Tennessee and is excited to eventually move to private practice full time upon completion of her license.
Rachel's therapeutic style is holistic, meaning she sees you as a whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Life doesn't always go as planned. Whether you’re grieving a loss, facing a major life change, or simply feeling overwhelmed by daily stressors, Rachel offers a safe and supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and begin to move forward. Rachel enjoys working with folks navigating grief, anxiety, life transitions, identity shifts, difficult relationships, loneliness, or spirituality concerns. She tailors her treatment approach to fit your needs and utilizes evidence-based modalities that include mindfulness, CBT, ACT and Solution Focused practices. Since Rachel has worked as a licensed school counselor for the last two decades, she can also assist clients with career planning or academic concerns.
Rachel calls herself an "experience junkie" and in her free time loves to travel, to spend time in nature, and to cheer on her beloved Vols. A devoted dog mom, Rachel also enjoys adventuring with her pup, reading, writing, and spending time with family and close friends.
